Wow is this going to be a tour to remember. We're staring in Rome and heading north through Tuscany and by the end of Tour Stage 4, we will be in Florence for a two day to explore the city. Day 5, we turn West. The end of day 6 we'll ourselves on the West coast after passing through Pisa.
We then ferry to the island of Corsica which is part of France. After pedaling 5 days South, we take another ferry to Sardinia. We then continue south for 4 riding days, finally reaching the Southern end of the island and take one more long ferry (about 12 hours) to Sicily.
We then tour Sicily for 4 days before hitting the mainland and over the 9 days work our way back to Rome and the end of the tour.
The daily itinerary is shown below. Over the course of 28 riding days (Stages), we will cover 2,658 km / 1,652 miles. Pretty impressive for a vacation!
Keep an eye on this blog and I'll try to update it as the tour progresses.
Happy Biking,
Brian Cox
